Sidney Crosby and Co at Cannes

I have no clue what the boys are doing in Cannes but I do, however, applaud Sidney Crosby for walking away from his fishing rod to snag some hot Euro ass...

Who are we kidding? We all know Sid has no game! If he got any action it was from being Jordan Staal's wingman! And how good does Jordan Staal look? I haven't had these feelings since 2007. Its official, Jordan, you are my number one Staal brother! And hello Paul 'hot ginger' Martin! I had no idea he looked this good out of uniform. Also I just realized Maxime Talbot's cheese would totally work in France, he's getting the most action out of all of them! Play on player, play on!

They're on a yatch. Well played boys!

HBO's 24/7: Road to the Winter Classic.

"fuck you Geno"

Unfortunately I missed the second episode last night because I was out till like 2am...but let's just talk about general reactions to this series.

First of all I think its a little unfair that the Pens get ANOTHER winter classic, there's only been two and they've already participated in one before. Why not Colorado? or Minnesota? or New Jersey? This is clearly a strong marketing push from the league to pit two rivals against one another, and its a little tacky...I mean I'm still going to watch it but the NHL is more than Crosby v Ovechkin! Also its no accident that both teams are introduced by playing the Toronto Maple Leafs; MLSE, they know exactly what they're doing ;)

In any case, from what I've seen this is an awesome introduction to hockey if you're not a fan, and its icing on the cake if you are one. I've never seen hockey so polished, so graceful, with such good lighting and soundtrack (Interpol, XX, Band of Horses, etc.). Any hockey fan watching this will not be surprised by what 24/7 reveals. Yes there is a level of respect between two players dropping the gloves (except when Sean Avery is involved), yes every other word coming out of a player's/coach's mouth is a swear word, yes good teams can have a several game losing streak, yes its like the law to prank the rookies, we all know this but speaking as one hockey fan, its FINALLY nice to see our sport getting some Hollywood treatment, ya know?

I think this documentary is well done, actually. It mentions in a kind of indirect way the Crosby v Ovechkin saga but it doesn't focus on it, rather, it focuses on the trails of and elation of the team as a whole, because no matter how good your star player is, if he doesn't have a good enough supporting roster, you really can't compete, right Columbus? They also show how unpredictable the game can be, Washington for example, has some of the best players in the league and yet they cannot come up with a win, even against some of the worst teams, on paper no one would have guessed that would be the outcome but every hockey fan knows, what's true on paper, isn't always true on the ice.

Like I said it doesn't reveal anything we didn't know before but its well done, and I like where they're going with this, there's one more episode left before the game on New Year's day and it will be interesting to see if Pittsburgh will continue on with its well oiled machine, and if Washington can pull up their socks, and shut it down.

And HBO more Brooks Laich, please...in a suit preferably...or shirtless...

PS after watching this I've never been so conscious of my Canadian accent. I do saw out and about funny, how embarrassing...

Our Husband Got Into a Fight

Last week our husband Sidney Crosby got into a fight and to be perfectly fair I'm not understanding where the hate is coming from. Seemed like a fair fight, Crosby wasn't a 'little bitch' as many people seem to think. In fact I think Crosby's pretty formidable when he needs to be, like when is team is down by 2 and some dude from the other team thinks he can slash him and get away with it.

Love the Mighty Ducks school of fighting he had going on: Stick. Gloves. Sweater. REMEMBER THAT????

That movie was my childhood, you don't even know...

This is a Sidney Crosby Picture Post

Because its been a while since I've posted about husband no. 6.

The pens
, as of this moment, are out of the playoffs...I think it has a lot to do with coaching, I've said it before, so I won't say it again. The pens got to the finals all on their own...and by their own I mean the players, ONLY the players. It was the players hard work and determination that got them there, it was kind of obvious that the coaching staff were way out of their league. They would get worked up over stupidity, while Babcock and the Red Wings were cool as cucumbers.

Keeping in mind that they lost several key members of the team over the off season; key members that had been on the team for a very long time and had developed with the other players, so to loose them was to loose integral parts of a machine, parts that if went missing, well, the machine just wouldn't work all that well.

Trades happen all the time and its up to the coaching staff to asses what they have and rework things and come up with a strategy that will produce results but that's not what happened. Instead they've done nothing, and have continued on with this flimsy game plan that's clearly not working!

Proof: Pittsburgh currently sits in 10th place in the Eastern Conference, currently out of the playoffs.

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Now on to Vintage Sidney Crosby Pictures:

This is my favouritest Sidney Crosby picture EVER

Get in line Maxime Talbot!!!

This video of husband no. 7 has been making the rounds and already has 11,000 plus hits on youtube and everyone's going nuts over the fact that Sidney's singing some r&b song (at least we can be thankful that its not Nickleback). I mean that's all good and well but how come no one has noticed Maxime Talbot's comments about Crosby's lip's and ass, more specifically how 'big they are'.

If that's not a declaration of love and desire I don't know what is. I mean when a guy usually makes remarks about someone's ass and lips it usually means they want to get down with said person; gay, straight, whatever. I mean, it wouldn't be that much of a stretch seeing as how they already take showers together, and possibly even sleep in the same room as each other, its not impossible to suppose a torrid love affair...But then again Sidney Crosby's too boring for something that scandalous to happen...and he's straight...and I guess Talbot's straight too...

BOO!

RE: Pens fans everywhere saying they'll win The Cup next year

There's nothing I'd like to see more than to see my boys win BUT to make it all the way to the finals, loose and then come back to win the cup next year -- let's just say this isn't the Montreal Canadiens of the 1930s/1940s. I mean just look at the Ottawa Senators, where are they now? They don't call it the hardest title to win in sports for nothing. Getting to the finals is a feat in and of itself

And according to hockey analysts everywhere this current Penguins hockey roster will not remain intact for the next season. Ray Shero's got to work some black magic to keep his team red hot. Crosby and Malkin can only do so much! ALSO whispers around the league are saying that Malkin's peacing out of Pittsburgh once his contract his up next year. Which from Malkin's standpoint makes complete sense. He'll never make as much as or more money than husband no. 6; he'll never be the star of the Penguins, he'll always be the Robin to Crosby's Batman; always in the shadow, never in the spotlight!

Now before y'all go nutz, just think about it logically:

why stay on a team where you'll always be second fiddle? When Malkin's contract is up, he'll have is pick of any team in the league (well except for Washington). For his career? for the money? for the endorsement deals? Listen people the age of franchise loyalty is not dead per se BUT there's no way it can withstand the new age of ridiculous amounts of money and Gatorade commercials. This is a new generation, this is the new NHL. But having said that I think Sidney Crosby will stay in Pittsburgh for his entire career

Our programming determined that the most efficient answer was to shut their motherboardfucking systems down

Ok so maybe The robots aren't going down without a fight...

but last night's game was OFF THE HOOK, non?

Marc-Andre Fleury was un-fucking-believable! He was the only reason The Pens stayed afloat during those ten billion overtimes (which I stayed up for). I reaaaallllllllyyyyyyy think that the pens caught a lucky break because honestly The Wings were tres dominant in those overtimes but hey we'll take it!

Robots under Skynet's control, especially the one with the 'A' on his jersey. Skynet calls him Gary Robots Roberts...what a scary ass motherf*cking robot!

I'm done with making predictions, my ~*spidey sense*~ is all wacked out! Will The Humans prevail or will Skynet win the Stanley Cup and unleash their unholy mechanical weapons upon us???

At this point I have no clue, whatever happens I'm down for the ride!!!!

GO, PENS GO!!!!!!!

The Humans Are Dead Human Liberation Is Upon Us

So apparently John Connor sent a robot from the future to prevent Skynet taking over the NHL and winning the Stanley Cup and I think that robot's name is Henrik Zetterberg. I mean what other logical explanation is there?

Malkin's head isn't where it should be? The Penguins are too inexperienced to win this? Marc-Andre Fleury cannot deliver when the going gets tough? The Penguins' coaching staff has no fucking clue how to navigate a Stanley Cup final? The Penguins don't want it as much as the Red Wings do? Mike Babcock is using his ~*Jedi mind tricks*~ to make the Penguins suck? The Detroit Red Wings are simply a better team than the Pittsburgh Penguins?????

NAH! John Connor totally sent a robot to defeat Skynet, that's the only plausible answer!

Let's be honest with ourselves, shall we? I've been living in Toronto my whole life, so I know there's no use keeping hope alive when there's no hope to be had; there's stupidity and there's reality and I'd rather be realistic! The Penguins are NOT going to win tonight, they are NOT going to win the Stanley Cup, its just not going to happen, OK?

Now that does not mean I'm going to all of a sudden jump on the Red Wings train(even if they are unbelievably good) . The Pens are my boys, they're my boys! I'm going down with my ship! Win or loose, I'm with them the whole step of the way!

Peace out Boys and...

VIVA LA LIBERATION (I guess...)

Wah, Wah ,Wah!!!!!!!!!

The Detroit Red Wings are currently 2-0, against the Pittsburgh Penguins and what's even more shocking is Crosby and the boys have yet to register a single goal against Detroit...WTF???

I'm quite disappointed in my boys, I knew this wasn't going to be an easy series BUT Detroit isn't even breaking a sweat; they're skating circles around the pens, they're shutting down Malkin, Hossa, AND even our Lord and Savior himself, Sidney Crosby.

WHAT IS GOING ON, PEOPLE????

Detroit
has an answer for every single line, strategy, gimmick, and player, Pittsburgh has thrown at them, and Pittsburgh seems to be out to lunch. Even Gary Roberts tries to bait them out; tempting them to drop the gloves BUT if Roberts or any of the Pittsburgh coaching staff watched a single video of this Red Wings team then they would know that they don't play that kind of game and even if you play that game, they'll just leave you in the dust and score 5 times.

I really don't understand what the hell is going on, its like Pittsburgh is completely unresponsive to this Detroit team; two games, TWO GAMES without a single goal???? Bitch, please!!!

I've alluded to it in the past but if there's anything wrong with this Pittsburgh team, its the coaching staff. Why, in the last 8 minutes of the game, ISN'T Sidney Crosby on the ice???? Maybe you won't win but at least you could shake Osgood up, expose a weakness *cough*one timer from the blue line*cough* OR score a fucking goal!!!

AND

accusing people of diving/obstructing/embellishing is quite inconsequential when Detroit is currently MERKING YOUR ASSES AND SCHOOLING YOU IN THE GAME OF HOCKEY!!!!! You just end up sounding like sore losers: WAH, WAH, WAH !!!!!!!

Coach Therrien: He's [Chris Osgood] a good actor. He goes for players, and he's diving.

Maxime Talbot: He [Chris Osgood] did the same for Riberio (Dallas Stars). If he wants to do that, that's a shame; we're not playing soccer here.

Sidney Crosby: Yea...he [Chris Osgood] went down pretty easily.

orly????

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

SHUT THE FUCK UP AND PLAY SOME HOCKEY!!!!!!!!!!

Stop trying to take the heat off of your team because you know Detroit has been handing your asses on a platter, why don't you try and score, eh? Whining and complaining won't bring you the Stanley Cup...HONESTLY!!!!!!!!

...with that said I still love y'all and want y'all to win the game and I KNOW that next game @ Mellon Arena you'll take the win and why do I say that? because I believe in you (ooo so cheesy), GO PENS GO!!!!!!!

PS I think Detroit is an amazing team and I respect them as my team's opponent but I love the fact the Niklas Lidstrom took the high road when responding to the ~*Pen's accusations*~ and was almost understanding about the whole thing. Maybe other captains should take note. I'm just saying...

Hockey Happenings

Re: Crosby not touching the Prince of Wales trophy: Superstitions are completely irrational, darling

So I kind of predicted this show down of ~*pens vs red wings*~ after watching the first two games of each series. Dallas and Philly put up a good fight but the hockey gods had a different plan in store. This is a pretty exciting match up, non? The best team in the East playing the best team in the West; who will come out on top and finally put the question of 'which conference is better' to rest. CLEARLY I'm pulling for my boys, the pens; the way they've developed and the way they've become so good so fast...my god do they ever deserve it! Besides, Detroit needs to be knocked off that pedestal of theirs; best team in the NHL? We'll just see about that.

I know I've said before it would be boring if husband no. 6, Sidney Crosby, won the Stanley Cup but now that I've watched pretty much every series of this playoff season, and let the image of Crosby raising the Cup, marinate in my mind, I've decided that my darling Sidney Crosby winning the Stanley Cup, would be exciting...expected but exciting nonetheless. The pens are in it to win it, and I'm there for them 100%, GO PENS GO!!!!!!!!!!

****

Team Canada lost the gold medal game against Russia...and to be perfectly honest it wasn't that heartbreaking. OBVIOUSLY I was disappointed, I wanted Dany and Rick to bring home a gold medal BUT I'm kind of really biased towards Alexander Ovechkin and even if I found out he ate babies for breakfast I'd still love him, heh...

AND before you bitches blame my Ricky for losing the gold medal to Russia, think about this: the ENTIRE team blew a 4-2 lead; regardless of Nash's penalty in overtime, IF Canada was playing right and not actin' a fool, then chipping the puck over the glass wouldn't have made a difference! I mean, how many short handed goals did Canada score in this tournament and you fuckers want to blame Nash for losing this game? BITCH, PLEASE!

Round 3 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs Hath Begun

Last night after 4 rounds of overtime, the Stars took the series from Joe and the boys and are now off to hockeytown, USA AKA Detroit, for the Western Conference Finals to take on the living hockey gods themselves, the Red Wings. I'm throughly impressed with the Stars' performance (methinks it has everything to do with Brad Richards teaching Brenden Morrow how to colour co-ordinate) and I think this series will be on fire. The numbers say Detroit is taking this one BUT I wouldn't be so sure about that; this one may be too close to call...

And then we have the Eastern Conference Finals, the exact match up I didn't want to happen; The battle of Pennsylvania: The Penguins vs. The Flyers; a heated rivalry that will only get dirty. Do you remember that last game between The Pens and The Flyers? You know, the one before the playoffs, the game that decided who would play who? Remeber how for the first period, literally every 2 minutes there was a scrum? Remember how The Flyers went after The Pens hard. With Psychos like Hartnell and Downie I'm actually kind of scared to watch this series!

See, hits and fighting are a part of hockey, we all know that but there's always a select few players who have some serious anger issues that like to project those feelings and emotions, not only, on to the opposing team but also, on to their best players i.e. Malkin and Crosby. We'll see what happens, I guess. Maybe Philly's coaching staff will be able to contain their loose canons and focus on their skilled players like Umberger (mmm hamburgers), Richards, Upshall, and Briere. If Philly keeps on playing the way they're playing, this will be one heck of a series!!!!!!!!

Pube 'stache!!!!!!!!

Sidney's facial hair is a little bit thicker than it was last year, but still, he ain't no Rick Nash *sigh*

...I know, I know, I shouldn't compare husbands because it raises conflict in an already high volatile environment (1 wife, 7 husbands, it does get messy) but I can't help it, I love hair on a man it shows that he's a man, ya know? Sidney has another year or so to go before he becomes a man.

work it,baby, work it!

Dany came home this morning and he was pretty down; naturally he would be, they didn't win a single game in the series, I've tried to console him but he's been drinking beer all day and muttering something about Ray Emery and John Paddock, I don't know what that's all about but Rick and I have been keeping our distance. It must be hard knowing that you are a good team, a better team, and yet you couldn't get it together for a single win. One thing's for sure, I'm stocking up on two-bite brownies, and Häagen-Dazs for the next few months...oh Dany :'(

but SIDNEY CROSBY'S ONE STEP CLOSER TO LORD STANLEY'S CUP!!!!!!! I'd be totally stoked if he won, it would be boring and expected but I'd be stoked nonetheless!!!!!!!

The End Is Near Here

Dany Heatley, reminds Sidney Crosby, of the husband hierarchy in my household...even when the Pens are totally merkking the Sens

I don't know if you've noticed but I've remained mum on the Ottawa/Pittsburgh series, for obvious reasons. Well tonight is game 4 and its 3-0, for Pittsburgh. Only twice in NHL history has a team come back from 3-0 losses to take the series, one of those teams being the Toronto Maple Leafs back when they were good, 10 million years ago.

But let's be realistic shall we?

Ottawa is not going to win tonight, it just isn't going to happen! Even though they are essentially the same team they were last year when they faced the Pens, who are essentially the same team they were last year (Marian Hossa, hasn't really made a dent, HONESTLY!), they are not going to win tonight, or come back from 3-0, to take the series, let's be honest with ourselves!

Would I like them to win? YES! Are they going to win? NO! The Pens have become too good and too powerful and the Sens have...I actually have no fucking clue what happened to the Sens.

Its ok Dany, we can get drunk, listen to emo music, cry, gorge ourselves on ice cream, and yell at the television when, husband no. 6, Sidney Crosby raises The Cup...

So What's the Deal?

No doubt the homeboysezzz are having a hard time leaving Steele-town, the Pens were a very close team, probably the closest in the league; they were a brotherhood, and now two of their key players are being sent down to the dirty south AKA HOT-lanta AKA Atlanta. I'm sure the entire team is having a hard time with this trade, I mean Marian Hossa has ~*mad skill*~, would be an asset to any team, and they're lucky to have him but at the same time, is he a rental? is here to stay? if not, was it really a smart move to sign a guy for a few months just to have him leave at the end of the season at the expense of two players who were an integral part of this team? Who knows, only time will tell. If and only IF they sign Hossa to a long-ish term deal, then I would say yes it was worth it but until then I'm questioning Shero's logic here, but what else can we do, we must push on! Lead the way Malkin!!!

Peace out Armstrong and Christensen!!!!!

What's On My Ipod: Colby Cheese Armstrong

Nearly 24hrs has passed since the shocking news and I've put together a playlist that Colby Cheese needs to upload on his iPod right this instant because not only does it describe the emotions he's feeling right now BUT it will help him to just let it all out.

1)Meat Loaf - A kiss is a terrible thing to waste
The title doesn't say much but HAVE YOU HEARD THIS SONG??? So amazing, so dramatic, so fitting! The best good riddance song like EVER. Its kind of a two parter, starting off with regret and sadness, then ending with: "Tire tracks and broken hearts, it's all we're leaving behind! It doesn't matter what we're losing, it only matters what we're going to find!" Let it out Colby! Let.It.Out.

2)Oasis-Don't Look Back In Anger

Sure, this trade was a shocker, maybe a slight stab in the back, you thought you would be a penguin for a while but then fate had other plans for you. But there's no point being bitter about it, you'll be reunited with Mark Recchi, the weather's nicer down there, you'll no longer be known as "Sidney Crosby's bff/roomate/secret lover/confidant", AND Atlanta is a pretty OK team, just be thankful you're not going to Toronto...

"My soul slides away
but don't look back in anger. Don't look back in anger, I heard you say, at least not today"

3)Whitney Houston-I Will Always Love You
No matter what Colby Cheese, the fans and the team will always love you and will always cherish your 'white guy who thinks he's funny' humor, I for one enjoyed it! You will be missed, you and your bird nose!

"Bittersweet memories
that is all I'm taking with me. So goodbye, please don't cry. We both know I'm not what you, you need...I hope life treats you kind, and I hope you have all you've dreamed of. And I wish you joy and happiness but above all this, I wish you love!"

*tear*

4)Don Henley-Boys of Summer
This is going to be your and Sidney's theme song because summer's the only time you two will ever get to spoon and be alone (ooo so romantic) and when its over y'all will be heartbroken...don't worry boys, you'll always have ~*Pittsburgh*~

Colby
to Sidney: I never will forget those nights. I wonder if it was a dream. Remember how you made me crazy? Remember how I made you ~*scream*~? Now I don't understand what happened to our love but babe I'm gonna get you back! I'm gonna show you what I'm made of!

5)Skunk Anansie-Secretly
You've noticed it right, Colby? Staal's been getting pretty dreamy as of late, he's growing out of his 'hot boy townie' look and turning into a hot viking WITH scruff, and he's getting more muscular, and his silky blonde hair has grown so much that he can flip it AHEM yea well Crosby's noticed it too, and you've noticed that Crosby's noticed that J. Staal is turning into quite the hot piece, so maybe you've requested this trade, maybe you wanted out of that locker room, where you didn't have to endure their stolen looks in the shower, and the pats on the butt in practice; you're heart just couldn't take it anymore, and I respect that Colby, I respect that.

"I've been a friend, with unbiased views, and then secretly lust after you"

6)Badly Drawn Boy-Promises

So you're at the airport, your boys are there, tears are welling up, your boys, your friends, your brothers, its time to say goodbye. First its the Ryan's, they sandwich you and give you noogies; Jordo flashes his million dollar smile telling you he won't take it easy on you on that you're on Atlanta; Max does his McLovin' impression for you one last time; Marc-Andre with that permanent smile, eyes all fogged up says 'Au revoir'; then Sidney Crosby, your bff, your soul mate , homeboy's never been good with words so he just hugs you and you whisper into his ear: "Sometimes you just have to walk away, remember I do love you! Have courage in what you say!" and then you pull away from him, never looking him in the eyes, pick up your bag, go through security and board your plane with tears in your eyes...

WOW I should write romance novels, I'm too good! LOL

7)Michael Jackson-Beat it

What's done is done, you can't change what's happened, now can you? So suck it up and take it Colby! Be a man, and show Penguins Inc. that they made a HUGE mistake...I'm sure Mark Recchi would be happy to give you some pointers!

"No one wants to be defeated, showin' how funky and strong is your fight! It doesn't matter who's wrong or right, just beat it, beat it!"

8)Maximo Park-By The Monument

Spending your first night away from Pittsburgh but more importantly your first night way from Sidney Crosby, can't be easy, so I give you permission to cry yourself to sleep to thing song.

"We'll sleep tonight in separate towns. At dusk, we see our disparate futures."

9)Kanye West-Stronger
Keep that head up Colby Cheese! You will get through this!

"
I know I got to be right now 'cause I cant get much wronger!"

10)Mason Jennings-California

We're really going to miss you Colby Cheese, I hope you do very well in Atlanta! Say hi to lil' John for me!

"California Atlanta I hope that it wakes you
from all the darkness that I couldn’t break through cause I’m going to miss you"

Peace out Colby Cheese, Stay gold!!!!!!!

And The Oscar Goes To...

My boys. My penguins. My angels. I love them to no end but this video is the most painfully embarrassing shit ever conceived:

FAIL!!!!!!!!!!

I love how Colby Cheese is not convinced of his own 'superstar' status: "You know because of who I am(?????)"*shifty eyese*, but who are you Colby, who are you...which of course brings us to Maxim Talbot. Maxim Talbot is probably the hardest to watch, I mean the whole McLovin joke was hilarious but his 'Ode to McLovin' reminds of high school assemblies, when our guidance counselors tried to relate to us and they'd say something like:
"yo what is up DAWG? how is it going? what is the 411, G? I will keep it on the down low! I can get jiggy with it! who let the dogs out? raise the roof homie, word to your mother!"
Our response: *crickets*
I'm soooooooo embarassed for them! The only one left with a shred of dignity is Malkin and that's because he doesn't say anything.

These are the times when I really regret me and Jordan Staal not being bff, we'd rip on these guys hard!!!!!!!!! and then chug some beer, woot! I hope husband no. 5 is laughing (with his girly laugh) his ass off over this. I know I'd never let them live it down...EVER!

MERKKED!!!

Dear Georges Laraque,

You're kind of my hero:

Love,

Nicole
xoxo

Its clear that Steve Downie isn't getting the message, with several suspensions, warnings, and undoubtedly many verbal ass-woopings from various NHL cronies, he just can't see what he's doing wrong. Either that, or he just doesn't care...I'm betting on the latter. Sure Laraque's hit was questionable but hey that's the only language Downs understands, maybe someday, he'll get it, but I highly doubt it, until then let's just hope the league wakes up and bans his ass from the league before someone ends up in a coma.

CALLED IT!

What were my boys, The Pens, going to do without our Lord and Savior, Sidney Crosby???

Merkk bitches, that's what!!!!!

and who led the pack, why Evgeni Malkin of course!!! Just like I predicted! AND the rest of the team stepped up their game tenfold, just like I predicted!

...and came up with a 2-0 win against the Montreal Canadiens.

OH YEA!

Sabourin with his first game back, shut them out, HOT!

I love Crosby (as you may have guessed) but this injury thing, could be a blessing in disguise for the rest of the team, you know so that everyone can finally realize that there are other guys on the team.

Possibly? Maybe? Perhaps?

I'm just throwing that out there because whether we like it or not, Jesus is going to be out for a prolonged period of time, so why shouldn't the boys show that Crosby didn't get those bajillion points all by his lonesome (although theoretically he definitely could have)

To my Pens, who's going to show the world that Jesus is just the *icing on the cake!!!!!!

*icing made by a top chef, 3 inches deep, placed on top of, around, and in the middle of the cake, and incidentally the better part of the cake, because who the hell eats cake without icing???

Saturday, January 19, 2008

Oh.My.God

Sidney Crosby, the love of my life, husband no. 5, the apple of my eye, my darling, my love, my bank account, is out. HE'S OUT.

Last night husband no. 5 suffered a high ankle sprain and although nothing can be said for sure, until sometime next week, homeboy will probably out for a month, at the very least...yes this means he misses the all-star game.

First Heater then Crosby, my boys are dropping like flies, who's next Ovechkin *shutters* let's not think about that!

My boys, the Pens, are still my boys, with or without the Messiah. I still love them, I'll still make them peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, I still believe in them and I still want them to win but can they? They have the talent to make this through, between Conk and Malkin, they're playoff contenders for sure, but with the loss of not only their captain but of THE captain, that's gotta hit their morale pretty hard. The cold hard fact is, they all have to step up their game. They have to be about 5 times better than they were, when they were playing with Sidney, because when Jesus is on the ice, he makes you look good! Let's be honest, would Colby Cheese be having such a good season if it weren't for the Messiah??? Methinks not!

Alright boys, its time to quit being boys, grow some chest hair and become men. This is what they'll be talking about in hockey history books: How the Pens merkked everyone without Sidney "the Messiah" Crosby.
TRUST!

PS Malkin, This is your time! Prove to everyone that you deserve to be up there with Ovechkin and Crosby, because you know what I believe in you and your afro!

PPS I have 100% faith in my team, coach Therrien however, well that's an entirely different matter
