Why: They make the music you were ashamed to admit to like (ie Hall and Oates, Huey Lewis and The News) cool, with a dashing of hip hop and equal portions of funk. I know it sounds like an unlikely mash-up but it totally works! Their sound although retro is surprisingly fresh and innovative. Who knew that this music would come from two nerds from Montreal(one of my favourite cities by the way!), well they aren't nerds anymore! What also works is my crush on Dave 1. Besides the fact that he has that awkward hot Jewish hipster thing going on, and his swave debonair on stage Dave is also really intelligent, he's an intellectual, an renaissance man if you will. I mean its nothing to brag about or anything but he's just pursuing a Ph.d. in French Literature and also teaches French at Columbia University in New York City, no big deal , its not like I called my mom at work and told her about her future son-in-law or anything, its not like his picture is on my wall with a big red heart around him, heh- BUT what is on my ipod is Business Casual.
If you don't fall in love with Dave after seeing the Night by Night video, we can't be friends anymore
