I'd like to start with Lindsay Lohan, as that was what my last post was about, well she's gone to the big house, poor girl. Addiction is a horrible disease, one thats exceptionally difficult to overcome, but then again jail could be the answer to her prayers and help her stay on the straight and narrow, I'd hate to see her career damaged even more then it already is. The way I see it s if she comes out of jail and really focus on her acting and stays sober, then she can get her life back on track, but if she comes out of jail and continues the way she was, then I really think it would be all over for her. My best wishes go out to her as I'd hate to see such a talent go to waste. And as for Cipriani, well I think we already knew it wouldn't last very long anyway...
Ok, now for something a little more lighthearted, GLASTONBURY! I know I'm like a year late, so I won't go into detail as much. Well I'll start off by saying I had a fantastic time, festivals are tremendous fun and are a must for any music fan. I arrived on site on the Tuesday, as I was working there and had to get everything sorted like my tent and stuff. It was amazing seeing the site so empty before everyone had arrived, especially since it's so massive. I wish I could post some pictures but believe it or not I can't actually find the pictures on my computer. Woops! Anyway, I saw a tonne of really, really great acts, some of the best were probably dizzee rascal, Bombay Bicycle Club, Snoop Dogg, Two Door Cinema Club and Miike Snow. Muse and Groove Armada were hands down the best acts, I almost got killed in a mosh pit at Muse, but it's all part of the fun really! Because I was worhing there I had the privlledge
of going backstage at the John Peel stage, which was amazing for two re
asons a) it had clean, flushing toilets, and b) all the acts that were performing on that stage were there, so I got to meet Mumford and Sons (unfortunately I didn't get to see them play because the stage was absolutely thronged) and Groove Armada who were, again, AMAZING! Everyone was super nice and didn't seem to mind my fan girling which was decent of them! My advice to anyone attending a festival is to bring your best attitude and let your freak flag fly!
And finally, our last topic is about our lovable caveman Donncha O'Callaghan , who is the Irish ambassodor for UNICEF, which is awesome. He recently returned from a week long visit to a compound in Haiti, where he saw how families lived and how UNICEF are helping them. The story was heart warming and made me love him even more, because he really cares. I'd also like to congratulate him as he's about to become a father. I'm delighted for him and his wife, and I'm totally certain he'll make fantastic father so good luck to Donncha!
p.s Tommy Bowe is rumored to be playing Glastonbury next year
